Donald Leroy "Boomer" Wirth, 85, of Russellville, died Sunday, July 1, 2012, at Legacy Heights Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born December 9, 1926, at Russellville, to John Rudolph and Martha Ann Harris Wirth. He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Wirth; four brothers; four sisters; and two step-children.
Survivors include five step-children; several grandchildren; great grandchildren; nephews; and nieces, a special cousin and caretaker, Macial Farnam.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2012, at the Shinn Chapel officiated by the Rev. Norman Chenowith. Burial will be in Bowden Cemetery on Crow Mountain, near Pottsville, by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
Honorary pallbearers will be Earl and Kenneth Page.
Visitation was Tuesday at the funeral home.
