George Kemper, 89, of Houston, passed away Monday, August 8, 2016. He was born October 5, 1926 in Houston, Arkansas, a son of John Joseph Kemper and Minnie Mae Rice Kemper. George was a retired College Professor, earning his bachelor degree from UCA, masters from St. Louis University, and PHD from the University of Southern California. He was a member of Sons of the American Revolution.
He is survived by his niece, Frances Staff and her husband Ramey of Wye Mountain; great nephew, Greg Perry and wife Holly of Harrison; great nieces, Janet Cagle of Paragould, Fancy Harvey and husband Scott of New Hampshire, and Tara Mercado and husband Jose of Marianna, Georgia; eleven great-great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 12, at Houston Assembly of God with Bro. John Chapman officiating. Burial will be at May Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
