Bonnie Jean Marlow Kindy, age 85, of Houston, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016. She was born October 13, 1930 in Stoney Point, Arkansas, a daughter of Jessie Z. Marlow and Clara Williams Marlow. She retired from the State of Arkansas Department of Social Services.
Bonnie was a graduate of Houston High school and enjoyed being part of the basketball team. She was employed by state of Arkansas Department of Human Services where she retired as a case worker for Quality Control. Bonnie attended Perryville First Baptist Church where she has been a member for approximately 50 yrs. She served in several capacities from helping in the kitchen for Vacation Bible School, to working in the office on Sunday morning to singing in the church choir. She had a great love for music and always looked forward to the annual Cantatas. She served as a member of Perryville City council and always enjoyed being a part of her community.
She is survived by her children, Sharon Starkey of Harris Brake, Paula Holcomb of Perryville, Debbie Miller of Perryville, Kenneth Miller (Ann) of Missouri, Donald Miller of Perry, and Jerry Miller of Union Valley; stepsons, Jimmy Kindy, Gary Kindy, and Joe Kindy; sister, Jessie Short of Atkins; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 3, at the First Baptist Church of Perryville with Pastor Horace Gray officiating. Burial will be at May Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, at the church.
