Sharley Jo Roberds Pettit, 60, of Atkins died Wednesday, August 13, 2008, at St Mary's Regional Medical Center.Born September 7, 1947, on Crow Mountain near Atkins, she was the daughter of Ima Jean May Rollins and Robert Roberds. She was also preceded by brother, Terry Roberds. She was the maintenance coordinator at International Paper, was a active member of the Church of God Sabbitarian Fellowship in Russellville and loved her family and friends very much.Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Gary Pettit of Atkins;daughter and son-in-law, Krista and Daren Nelson of Warren; her mother, Jean Rollins of Atkins; brothers, Donald Roberds of Cabot; Michael Roberds of Solgohachia; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lesa and Dallas Standridge of Dover, Margaret and Ralph Holmes of Cypress, California and grand children, Kennedy and Sutton Nelson of Warren and an "adopted" godson, Rick Mars; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends nationwide.
Pallbearers were Ron Sanders, Jr Blackwell, Scotty Burch, Lonnie Byrum, David Smith and Richard McCammon. Honorary bearers were Janet Sorrels, Harold Maxwell, Kenny McKenzie, Kevin Henson, Mickey Christy, Will Knight, Troy Waldo, Mike Thomas, Henry Anderson, Chuck Gordon and Leroy Smith and "The Mouse Pack".
