Michael Joseph Borengasser, 73, of Conway passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2018. He was born on December 16, 1944 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to the late Charles and Margaret Borengasser.
Michael worked for over 30 years as a hydrologist for Arkansas Natural Resources Commission and was the first State Climatologist for Arkansas. He was a former Assistant Professor of Geography at the University of Central Arkansas. Micheal was a promoter of the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail, and Snow Network (CoCoRaHS). He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marylynn Borengasser; four sons, Matthew Borengasser (Peng Li), David Borengasser (Tiffany), Stephen Borengasser (Sarah), and Daniel Borengasser (Tomoko); daughter Angela Williams (Bart); two grandchildren, Fraedrich Williams and Olivia Borengasser; and brother, Tom Borengasser.
Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 29, 2018 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Memorial Service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at St. Joseph Chapel in Conway. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
