Erma Helen Wilker Sparks, age 96, of Dardanelle, Arkansas died Sunday, February 24, 2008 at Dardanelle Nursing Home in Dardanelle. The daughter of John and Bertha Wirth Wilker, she was born October 25, 1911 at Crow Mountain, Arkansas. She was a member of the Dardanelle Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; son Ernest Sparks; brothers, John "Bud", Vernon "Banny", Raymond, Burvel and Kenneth Wilker; sisters, Eula Bowden and Janet Davis; sister-in-law, Ollie Petray. Survivors include son, James Lee & Sherry Sparks of Russellville,Arkansas, daughter-in-law Joan Sparks of Little Rock, Arkansas; sisters, Lucille Wilson of Pottsville,Arkansas, Orpha Giddieon of Pottsville,Arkansas and Ruth Patterson White of Paris,Arkansas; 4 grand children; 4 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Earnestine Wilker of Marion, Kansas; several nieces, nephews and host of other family and. friends.
Pallbearers were Steven Sparks, Scott Sparks, Wayne Jones, Dewey Jones, Bruce Elliott and Billy Jim Warren. Obituary published on Wednesday, February 27, 2008, in The Yell County Record, Danville, Arkansas.
