Nona Wanice Jarratt, age 64, of Warren, AR died Thursday July 30, 2009. She was born July 16, 1945 at Rison, AR, a former machine operator at Jack Winter and member Macedonia Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father Merl McKinzie. Survivors are her husband Jackie Jarratt whom she married April 20, 1962. 1 son Phil Jarratt and spouse Lizzette, Wilmar, AR, 2 daughters Alicia Brown and spouse Bob, Hermitage, AR, Janna Jarratt, Benton, AR. Her mother Eva Schenks, Star City, AR. 4 brothers Larry McKinzie, Pine Bluff, AR, Harry McKenzie, Star City, AR, Terry Phillips, Star City, AR, Junior Phillips, Poto, OK. 1 sister Joan Phillips Carter, Poto, OK. 6 grandchildren April Brown, Dustin Brown, Cody Jarratt, Jim Brown, Matt Hayden, Holly Lane. 3 great-grandchildren Zander Brown, Hunter Lane and Blaine Hayden. Funeral services were 4 p.m. Sunday, August 2, 2009 at Frazer’s Chapel with Rev. Billy Wilson and Rev. Junior Phillips officiating. Singers were Tommy Green and the Bryant Sisters. Burial was in Holly Springs Cemetery near Hermitage, AR by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Jim Brown, Bobby Glaze, Donnie Linley, Dale Smith, Mark Jennings, and Ralph Reep. Honorary pallbearers were Robert Parker, Bill Jones, Jackie West, N.P. Matts, Dr. Balan Wair, Dr. Chambers, Harold Campbell, Bonnie Jennings, and Dayne Stanley. The family wants to thank Little Rock Hematology, CARTI, Arkansas Hospice and I Care.
