SUN CITY WEST, Ariz. — Wilma P. Lawson, 93, of Sun City West, Ariz., passed away on May 11, 2012; born a Birthright Quaker April 15, 1919, in Jefferson County, city of Packwood, Iowa, to Tillman O. and Mary M. Utterback Johnson.

In Rogers, Ark., Wilma was a member of First Presbyterian Church, the Garden Club and P.E.O., a volunteer for the Hospital Auxiliary, the Friendly Bookstore Resale Shoppe (library).

Wilma moved to Sun City West in July of 2006. She joined Desert Palms Presbyterian Church, Ikebana International, and demitted to Chapter DQ.of P.E.O. and stayed active until age 92.

Her husband, D. Keith Lawson, predeceased her.

Survived by her daughter, Judith K. Lawson of Sun City West, Ariz.; daughter, Sidney L. Young and son-in-law Thomas E. Young of Sandy, Utah; and granddaughter, Lacey C. Young of Portland, Ore.; numerous nieces and one nephew.

A memorial service for Wilma was held in the Chapel at the Desert Palms Presbyterian Church, 13459 W. Stardust Blvd., Sun City West, Ariz., Thursday, May 17.

Cremation with internment in Ruddick Cemetery in Garfield, Ark.
