Aubrey Gene Barnes, age 72, of Hermitage, AR. died Wednesday January 5, at Bradley County Medical Center. Born February 10, 1938 at Wilmar, AR. a son of the late Wesley Barnes and Lillie Belle Boston Barnes he was a retired repairman, member of Hermitage Baptist Church, loved music and going fishing. Also, preceding him in death was a son Larry Gene Barnes, brothers James Barnes, William Barnes and a sister Beatrice Tyler. Survivors are his wife Fronie Bell Gorman Barnes whom he married January 2, 1960 at Monticello, AR. 1 son Chris Barnes and spouse Michelle, Sumpter, AR., 1 daughter Karen Magby and spouse Pete, Redfield, AR. 2 brothers Ralph Barnes, Monticello, AR., Robert Barnes McGehee, AR. 2 sisters Mary Loveless, Warren, AR., Rachel Martin, El Dorado, AR. 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were 1:30 p.m. Saturday January 8, at Hermitage Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Boyette and Rev. Daniel Haigwood officiating. Kelly Haigwood was soloist. Burial was in Holly Springs Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Billy Loveless, Jay Harrod, Randy Barnes, David Barnes, David Dees, Linwood Dees, Jerry Burrows and Mike Gorman. Honorary pallbearers were Tim Vines, Mary Vines, Dr. Pennington, Elvie Belin, Linda Standard, Juli Morman and Kim Roberts.
