Juanita Gray Dale, 87, of Guthrie, Oklahoma, went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 23, 2015. She was born in Checotah, Oklahoma, to William and Anna Belle Harris Gray on May 5, 1927. Juanita grew up in the Atkins, Arkansas area. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Orsban Calvin "Sonny" Dale, her first child, an infant daughter; and another daughter, Wanda Faye Sutton; brothers Billy, Thurman and James Gray; and sister, Virginia Linton. She is survived by her children, Calvin (Shirley) Dale, Joann Dale, Gary Dale and Brenda (Samuel) Morgan; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters, Pearl Hurts, Nell Gray and Patricia Campbell; brothers, Bob and Lloyd Gray, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Juanita was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting, crocheting, camping, fishing, gardening, and playing cards. She especially enjoyed summer and spring breaks with her grandchildren, and let’s not forget her beloved dog, Oscar, and cat, Kitty. In her youth, she was a beauty who studied modeling and was once a contestant on the TV game show Queen For a Day.
She is so loved and will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.
Pallbearers were Sam Morgan, Roger Ramey, Jeff Ward, Jimmy Dale, Scott A Scott and Ryan Stevenson. Honorary pallbearers were Matthew Willingham, H Q "Lee" Morgan, III, and Jeremiah Dale.
