Willis O. Whittington, age 68, of Hermitage, AR. died Monday October 16, at Bradley County Medical Center in Warren, AR. Born October 26, 1937, in Bradley County, AR. a son of the late Ezra Q. Whittington and Audrey Ellen Nixon Whittington.
He was retired from Georgia Pacific with 32 years of service and attended Green Grove Chapel.
Also, preceding him in death was a brother James Whittington.
Survivors are his wife Mary Alice Carney Whittington whom he married February 17, 1979 in Crossett, AR. 1 step son Rodney G. Carney of Crossett, AR. 4 step daughters Barbara Jones and spouse Wesley of Crossett, AR., Diane Lochala and spouse Mac of Caledonia, MS., Debbie Langley and fiancé Bill Rumer of Parker, CO. and Teresia Brantley and fiancé Mike Hartness of Crossett, AR. 2 sisters Opal Nelms and Linda Justice both of Havana, AR. 10 step grandchildren Wescinda Jones Self, Tesia Carney Brown, Donovan Carney, Mark Allen Lochala, Brent Lochala, Jerry Mac Lochala, Gavin Langley, Justin Langley, Sybrina Brantley and the late Jennifer Brantley. 2 nieces Sherry Albright and Penny Smith, 2 grandnieces Shelby Albrite and Hannah Smith, 3 grand nephews Justin Crites, J.T. Crites and Cody West. 10 step great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were 10:00 a.m. Thursday October 19, Frazer's Chapel with Rev. Ricky Smith officiating. Music was provided by Wescinda Jones Self, Dottie Smith, Alton Forrest, Barbara Jones and Wesley Jones Burial Holly Springs Cemetery near Hermitage, AR. by Frazer's Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were Donovan Rodney Carney, Mark Allen Lochala, Brent Kerry Lochala, Jerry Mac Lochala, Charles Gavin Langley, Justin Michael Langley.
Honorary pallbearers were Doyle Gates, Doyle Nelms, Dennis Miller, Bill Rumer, Mac Lochala, Wesley Jones, Jimmy Ferguson and David Grayson.
