Jerry Wayne Hatler, 82, of Batesville, Ark., died on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, in Arkansas.
Services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, at Cord Baptist Church with Jeff Childress officiating under the direction of Willis Funeral Service, Batesville.
Private burial services were held on Wednesday, Nov. 14 at Hopewell Cemetery in Cord, Ark., following cremation.
He was born on Aug. 10, 1930, in Keno, Okla., the son of Webster Wayne Hatler and Portia Lee Barber Hatler. He married Cora B. Morse on April 7, 1951.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and worked as a truck driver most of his life. After retiring, he and his wife moved to Arkansas.
Survivors include, his wife, Cora B. Hatler; a son, Dennis Hatler and wife Joan, Pekin, Ill.; three daughters, Charlotte Campbell-Covert and husband John, Joppa, Ala., Connie Henderson and husband Bill, Diaz, Ark., Debra Peterson and husband David Sr., Andover; a sister, Vada Bradley, Jonesboro, Ark.; and 11 grandchildren, Joe Parker, Mandy Peterson, Brad Campbell, Travis Hatler, David Peterson Jr., Margaret Campbell, Joshua Hatler and Wade Hatler, Patricia Campbell, Rodney Henderson and Jodi Moody.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers.
He was a good friend and neighbor, and a loving father who will be greatly missed by all who were blessed by his presence in their lives.
