CHARLOTTE – Phyllis Jean “Jeannie” Halcom, 54, of Charlotte died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2003, at her home.
Born June 13, 1949, in Maryville, Mo., she was the daughter of Edwin and Lucille Lowrance Van Amburg. She was a nurse’s aide and a member of the Center Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include her parents; a brother, Chris Van Amburg of Charlotte; a sister, Marian Kae Huddleston of Bartlett, Tenn.; a nephew, Blake Van Amburg; and a niece, Lori Huddleston of Bartlett.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; a brother, Jimmy Ray Van Amburg; and a sister Debbie Wilson.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Center Grove Baptist Church with Charles Bullington and Forrest Priest officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery in Cord under the direction of the Willis-Hays Funeral Service of Batesville.
Pallbearers will be Edward Briscoe, Paul Savage, Larry Williams, Jerrel Lillard, Orville Arms, Charles Cannon Jr., Rusty Paul and Randy Paul.
Honorary pallbearers are Blake Van Amburg, Coy Bullington and William Coe.
