Paul Michael Griffis son of Ronald Griffis and Paula (Hatler) Yuhas. Leaving behind his step-mother, Magaly Griffis and step-father Bill Yuhas.
Paul M. Griffis, age 30, of Cave City, Arkansas passed away Thursday, May 10, 2007. Born October 10, 1976 in Waco, Texas, he was the son of Ronald Griffis and Paula (Hatler) Yuhas.
He was an employee of Townsend's, a veteran of the US Army where he achieved various medals and ribbons including the Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Ribbon, NATO Medal, Sharpshooter Marksman Badge, Kosovo Campaign Medal and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his father, Ronald Griffis and his wife, Magaly of Corpus Christi, TX; his mother, Paula Yuhas and her husband, Bill of Cord and three sisters, Christine Yuhas of Corpus Christi, TX, Linda Elonvich of Omaha, NE and Susan Varnell of Southside.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Services are Wednesday, May 16, 2:00 p.m., at the Cord Baptist Church with Jeff Childers officiating. Burial will follow in the Hopewell Cemetery in Cord under the direction of Willis-Hays Funeral Service of Batesville.
Pallbearers are Shon Griffis, Shane Griffis, Bryan Bunting, Joe Parker, Jeremy Pruett and Nathan Sisk.
Honorary pallbearer is Derek Hatler.
Visitation is Tuesday evening from 4-7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the John 3:16 Ministries.
