Obituary: Mr. L. V. "Bo" Williamson, 80, of Snyder, who was born August 6, 1923, in Ashley County, died Saturday, October 18, 2003, at the Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock. A lifelong resident of Ashley County and the Snyder community east of Hamburg, he was a retired water well driller and a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church. He is survived by two sons, Buddy Williamson of Hamburg and Don Williamson of Snyder; two daughters, Wanda Purvis and Barbara Jeffers, both of Hamburg; two sisters, Bobbie Peacock of Montrose and Frances Woods of Ashdown, AR; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marceline Williamson, in 1998; a daughter, Patricia Williamson Hale, in 1986; his parents, Wesley and Mary Biggs Williamson; two brothers, Marvin and Edward Williamson; and four sisters, Ruby Bawcom, Erma Mathis, Dorothy Pollock and Georgia B. Robison.Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Monday, October 20, in the Fellowship Baptist Church in Snyder with the Revs. Charles Pullin, Terry Greenwood and E.W. Ricks officiating. Pallbearers were David and Keith Ladd, Wilburn and Emory Austin, Frank Gates, Matt Wells and Gary Williamson. Honorary pallbearers were Junior Brooks, Ray Maglothin, O.L. Swain, Charles Burgess, A.B. Nelms and Glen Haynes. Burial followed services at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery under the direction of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home of Hamburg. Memorials may be made to the Mount Pleasant Cemetery Association, c/o Mr. Howard Foster, P.O. Box 217, Hamburg, AR 71646.
