"Shawn Thomas Thacker, 24, of Ozark (Franklin County), a student at the University of Central Arkansas, died Wednesday June 7, 2000 as the result of an automobile accident. Born January 20, 1976, in Wynne,Cross County, son of Rev Wayne and Judy Thacker of Ozark, he was a graduate of Westark Community College ans was a cheerleader at Westark and at UCA. He was a member of the Assembly of God in Roseville and of Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship. He was a former youth pastor for Sunnyside Assembly of God in Van Buren and a fitness instructor at Conway Regional Fitness Center and Marvin Altman Fitness Center in Fort Smith. Other survivors are his parental grandparents, Daniel and Marie Thacker of Royal,Garland County; 4 brothers, Wayne Allen Thacker of Minden, Louisiana, Lyndle THacker of Ratcliff,Logan County, Ricky Thacker Conway and Jonathan Thacker of Ozark; and 2 sisters, Rachelle Mize of Searcy and Rebekah Abel of Morrilton. Pallbearers will be Wayne Allen Thacker, Lyndle Thacker, Ricky Thacker, Jonathan Thacker, Brian Mize, Michael Abel, Mike Kenison and Scot Kenison.
