Barbara Darter McCuin Butler, of Mer Rouge, Louisiana, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at her home. She was born November 29, 1945 in Russellville, Arkansas, daughter of the late Alonzo and Rhea Freeman Darter. She was a member of the Hill View Free Will Baptist Church of Bastrop, Louisiana. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; 1st husband Rev R H McCuin; and 2 brothers, A J Darter and James Darter. She is survived by her husband Jep Butler; 2 sons, Rev Steve McCuin and wife, Michelle and Rev Greg McCuin and wife, April; 1 step-son, Jep Butler, Jr and wife, Teresa; 1 step-daughter, Jo Ellen Robinson and husband, Ray; and a sister Jean Yetter. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, Brittany, Tyler, Isaiah, Daisey, Kirkland, Cade, Brooklyn, Clark, Holly, Clint, Elizabeth, and Zack; 3 great-grandchildren, Bexley, Leighton and Findley; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Serving as pallbearers were Tyler McCuin, Cade McCuin, Logan Judkins, Michael McCuin, Jordan Burris, Derek Taylor, Zackary Welch, and Blake Condley. For those who wish, memorials may be made to the Bridge Church, P O Box 58, Cabot, Arkansas 72023.
