Forrest and LaVerne Johnson Duvall, of Pottsville, went home together Tuesday, January 16, 2018. Forrest was born February 29, 1944, in Atkins, son of the late John Adam and Alva Fannie Adams Duvall. Laverne was born May 13, 1945, in Hunt Town, daughter of the late Opie and Vernie Reeves Johnson. They were married 54 years.
They are survived by a daughter, Brenda and husband Gary Phillips; son, Forrest Duvall, Jr and wife Rene; 6 grandchildren, Kurtis Phillips and wife Brittnie, Keaton Duvall, Khloe Duvall, Kaden Duvall, Kohlton Duvall, and Corinne McNish; great-grandchild, Laythen Phillips; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 20, at Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church in Russellville with Rev Devoe Campbell officiating. Burial is in St Joe Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins.
Pallbearers are Jerry Gray, Gary Phillips, Danny Hattabaugh, Dylan Duvall, Bob Helton, and Bro Terry Duvall.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Charlie Davis, Deborah Holly, Elleen Steel, and Pam Bradley.
