Linda Jean Latham Day, 59, passed away at home with her family at her side, Wednesday, July 29, 2009, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Born in Pope County, Ark., Linda was the daughter of the late Grady L. Latham. Her mother, Marene Isbell Latham, of Russellville, Ark., survives her.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and daughter. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of nine years, David L. Day; her son, Chad Duval of Russellville: her daughter, Connie Williams and her husband, Jeff, of Morganton, N.C.; three granddaughters, Beth, Katie, and Cassidy; and her brother, Carroll Latham also of Russellville, Ark.
Linda was a Dosimetry Technician for Bartlett Nuclear for many years. In her career she had the opportunity to travel the U.S. making friends all along the way. Linda was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and St. Joe's Freewill Baptist Church, Russellville, Ark.
A service celebrating Linda's life will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 3, in St. Joe's Freewill Baptist Church, with Pastor J.C. Kinder officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Lung Association, Cancer Research, 5349 Princess Anne Rd, Norfolk, VA 23502.
