Obituary
Dean Vincent Teague, who was born June 24, 1930, in Fifty Six, Arkansas, to parents Frank and Mary Stephens Teague, died January 29, 2017.

Dean graduated from Mountain View High School in 1948 and married Vida Virginia Sutton April 16, 1949. After living in Colorado and Oregon, they moved to Eudora, Kansas, in 1952 where Dean worked for Hercules, Inc. While living in Kansas, Dean and Vida were active in the First Baptist Church of Eudora, where Dean taught Sunday School classes.

They moved back to Arkansas in 1971. Dean started his second career as a Farm Bureau Agency manager in Mountain View in 1976. He retired from Farm Bureau in 1996. After moving back to Mountain View, Dean was an active member of First Baptist Church, where he served on various committees, was an usher for many years, and was a devoted member of the Sojourners Sunday School Class.

Dean is survived by his wife, Vida, of the home; sons, Tommy Teague (Gail) of Perry, Kansas, and Jim Teague and wife Paulette, of Lawrence, Kansas.

He had three grandchildren who made him very proud: Ryan Teague (Natalie), of St. Louis, Missouri; Julie (Bryce) McCreary, of Lakeland, Tennessee; and Jessica Teague, of Lawrence, Kansas. And he had seven great grandchildren, who he always enjoyed seeing: Alec, Georgia, Emma, Maya, Parker, Lilly, Adlee.

Dean also had many nieces and nephews who loved to tease and joke with him. He enjoyed playing golf, watching Kansas sports and St. Louis Cardinal baseball on television, reading, and working crossword puzzles.

Funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 10 a.m.

Pallbearers are Ryan Teague, Julie McCreary, Jessica Teague, Bryce McCreary, Danny Tinkle, Randy Bangs.

Honorary Pallbearers are Shane McElroy, Tim Wilson, Jimmy Mitchell, Fred Ward, Mark Branscum, and Billy May.

Memorials may be made to the Music Ministry of First Baptist Church, P O Box 27, Mountain View, Arkansas
