Mary Brewer

Mary Lee Smith Brewer, 92, of Cord died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2002, at a Batesville hospital.

Born July 15, 1909, in Cave City, she was the daughter of Arthur William Smith and Lou Jones Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ in Charlotte.

Survivors include five sons, Arthur Brewer, George Brewer, Waymon Brewer, Jerry Brewer and Marvin Brewer, all of Cord; two daughters, Lillian Shirley of High Ridge, Mo., and Norma Dyson of Cord; a sister, Bea Felts of Batesville; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Homer Brewer; a brother; and four sisters.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery at Cord.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Brewer, Robert Grissom, Ronnie Shirley, Rodgers Brewer, Jason Brewer and Brad Brewer.

Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Newton, Chris Gould, Mike Walker and Will Taylor.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight.
