Harry C. Hukill died Monday night at the home of his father, W.G. Hukill, in the northeast part of town. Mr. Hukill had suffered with consumption for a year or two and it was only two months ago that he returned to Rogers from Uvalde, Texas in a vain effort to regain his health. Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at the M.E. church and were conducted by the pastor, Rev. L.L. Brannon. The deceased was about thirty-four years old and had lived in and near Rogers for quite a number of years. He leaves a wife and child to mourn his death. His brother, Frank Hukill, and a sister, Mrs. Olive Paul of Tulsa, Okla., were here at the time of his death. The bereaved relatives have the sympathy of the entire community.

Harry C. Hukill was born in Sedalia, Mo. Jan. 26, 1877 and died at the home of his father in Rogers Jan. 16, 1911. Mr. Hukill lived in Sedalia until 16 years of age when he came with his parents to Arkansas and settled in Rogers, making his home there and in the community nearby until death. He was united in marriage to Miss Margaret Evans of Chicago, June 14, 1905. Her devotion to him during their married life and especially during his lingering illness, while touching and beautiful to others was to him a source of ceaseless gratitude as well as comfort. To this union was born one child, Frank Henry Hukill, who with the wife, father, mother, one brother, two sisters and many friends remain to mourn his departure. Mr. Hukill had been a sufferer most of his life from asthma. About one year ago he was taken with la grippe from which he never fully recovered. He became at once an easy victim to tuberculosis from which he died. He professed conversion at the age of 14 but for several years did not live an active Christian life. He greatly deplored this during the past year. A.L. Jordan.
