Elizabeth "Beth" Ann (Battles) Cooper wife of Blake Cooper. Elizabeth Ann (Battles) Cooper daughter of Benny T. Battles and Patricia Ann (Norris) Battles.


Elizabeth Ann (Battles) Cooper

Elizabeth Ann Battles Cooper was born April 18, 1983 in Conway, Arkansas. She departed this life May 6, 2018 in Batesville, Arkansas at the age of 35 years and 18 days.

She was born and raised in Conway. She attended University of Central Arkansas where she earned her degree. She was united in marriage to Blake Cooper July 12, 2003 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Conway, Arkansas. She spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, wife, mother, aunt, daughter-in-law, homemaker and friend. At the time of her death, Beth was the counselor at Melbourne Elementary School. She was an active member of Belview Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school and children's church and sang in the choir. Beth adored her family, her students and her work family. She was an avid gardener and an accomplished photographer.

She is survived by her husband of 14 years; Blake Cooper of Melbourne; two sons: Lane Cooper and Seth Cooper of the home; her parents: Benny T. Battles and Patricia Ann Norris Battles of Greenbrier; one sister: Becky Sindle and husband Matt and their son of Conway : Scott; her father and mother-in-law: Gerald and Linda Cooper of Melbourne; one uncle Dr. Bruce Battles and wife Pat of Conway; sister-in-law: Amanda Davis and husband Jason and their children: Grayson and Reagan Davis and a host of other relatives and many good friends.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: Don and Beulah "Gammy" Norris; paternal grandparents: Bennie and Reva Battles and her paternal great grandmother: Gladys Thomas.

Visitation and funeral service will be Tuesday, May 8 at Belview Baptist Church in Melbourne. Visitation will begin at 12 noon. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Jess Sumrall and Brett Cooper officiating. Burial will be at Melbourne Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.

Memorials may be made to: Melbourne Elementary School, Pantry, P. O. Box 250, Melbourne, Arkansas 72556.

Pallbearers: Grant Smith, Clayton McWilliams, David Brightwell, Josh Cooper, Micah Cooper, Bruce Battles.
