When John Thomas Williams was born on December 17, 1875, in Arkansas, his father, Roger, was 26 and his mother, Celia, was 25. He married Sarah Ann Wilson on July 1, 1897, in Pope, Arkansas. They had three children during their marriage. He died on October 11, 1945, in Conway, Arkansas, at the age of 69.
