Essie Frances Welch, 100, of Alexander went to be with her Lord Thursday, December 8, 2005 at her home. She was born December 20, 1904 in Old Hickory to the late Robert and Rosie Fellers. Her big job in life was raising her 11 children. Besides her parents , her husband Tom Welch and two sons, Jay T. Welch and Wayne Welch also preceded her in death. She is survived by her 9 children, Frances Ng and husband Jimmy of Alexander, Raymond Welch and wife Catherine of Old Hickory, Faye Faught and husband Floyd of Alhambra, CA, Betty Liemke and husband Tony of LaHabra Heights, CA, Sue Denton and husband Bill of Montclair, CA, Ed Welch and wife Shirley of Benton, Bill Welch and wife Joyce of Santa Ana, CA, Jim Welch and wife Barbara of Alexander, and Don Welch and wife Becky of Little Rock; sister, Dorothy Ault of Maryland, 25 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2005 at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home (315-4047). Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 12, 2005 at Old Hickory Church with burial following in Old Hickory Cemetery. Officiating the service will be Bro. Ed Edmond. Serving as pallbearers will be Raymond, Bill, Don, Eddie, Jim, Eric, Jerry, and Jim Welch, Jr.. Honorary pallbearers will be James Allen Harris and Tony Liemke.
