Viva Haynes Burrows went to sleep in the Lord's arms Sunday, October 19, 2008. She was a Charter Member of Liberty Fellowship Church and gave support even when she couldn't attend.
Survivors include: One daughter, Virginia and her husband Bill Singleton, 6 grandchildren: Susan & Bill Pay, Cabot AR; Kevin Singleton and wife Tina of Jacksonville Ar; Tod Singleton and wife Leslie, Scott Key and wife Liz, all of North Little Rock, AR; Holly Clark and husband Walker of Little Rock, AR; Stacy Key of Apache Ok.
8 Great-grand daughters and 4 great-grand sons: Melissa LeMay & Husband Clint of Cabot, AR; Coryanne Morgan & husband Randy, Amanda Williams, Shane Dreher, all of North Little Rock, Ar; Courtney Clark, of Cleveland Ms. And Hunter Lynn Clark of Little Rock, Ar; Lorin Singleton, Conway Ar; Nichole Singleton of College of the Ozarks, Ar; Stephanie Singleton of Jacksonville, Ar; and Sheldon Key of Tennessee.
5 Great-great-grandchildren: Emma, Michael and Madeline LeMay all of Cabot AR; and Hunter Daniel and Ayden Morgan of North Little Rock, Ar. 1 brother Louis Childers and wife Martha, 2 other sisters-in-law, Ruth Norem and her husband Sonny of Cabot, Ar; and Pauline Childers of Wynne, Ar.
She was preceded by a husband of over 50 years Charles Hubert Haynes and second husband, Luther Burrows 11-1/2 months. She was also preceded by one son Charles Harold Haynes and wife Violet.
Also preceded by her Mother, Father, and sisters Senie, Nora, Thedora and Elva and brothers Charles, Willis, Johnson and Robert Veto Childers and other family members and a multitude of friends.
She leaves a multitude of friends and loved ones who will miss her and look forward to seeing her in heaven.
She always had room at her table for friends and relatives and teenagers by the dozens. She taught teen class at church and was very active in other fazes as well. She has crocheted miles and miles of yarn and thread, sewed dresses and made shirts when we were at home. She was loved by all that knew her.
She loved to travel and made trips to Fla. Wyoming, West Virginia, Michigan and Canada.
Her favorite phrase was "I got $20. Let's go eat somewhere, if it's more you can pay the rest." Her favorites were quail, frog legs, and Chinese food.
Memorials may be made to the Gideons, Maumelle Camp.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. Services will be Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Velvet Ridge Cemetery by Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob-Judsonia.
