John Hawkins Houston married Bertha May Massingille in Conway, Arkansas, on December 5, 1925, when he was 42 years old.
When John Hawkins Houston was born on May 26, 1883, in Old Hickory, Arkansas, his father, John, was 23 and his mother, Cornelia, was 20. He married Ida Bell Massengill and they had five children together. He then married Bertha May Massingille and they had two children together. He died on March 3, 1965, in Morrilton, Arkansas, at the age of 81, and was buried in Hattieville, Arkansas.
