Margie Rae Brown, 84, of El Dorado went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 7, 2012. She was born on July 9, 1927 in Huttig, Arkansas to the late Clarence Ely and Elsie Carlton Ely. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in El Dorado and a retired secretary with the Arkansas Department of Corrections.
She was predeceased by her husband, Bob Brown and one brother, Clarence Ely, Jr.
Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Bonnie Vestal Craig of El Dorado, AR and Brenda and Dennis Hornak of Hot Springs, four step-children, Belinda Whitmore, Donna Fraley, Tia Helberg and Robert Brown, two brothers, Herbert Ely and Terry Ely, both of Texas, two grandchildren, Vicki Craig Wilson and Brian Craig, five great-grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.
