Karen A. Rager, age 56, of Petit Jean Mountain, Arkansas, passed away, Wednesday, February 27, 2013. She was born April 25, 1956 in Heber Springs, Arkansas, a daughter of William "Bill" Lewis Martin and Annette Allen Martin. She was recently employed by the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute and attended First Baptist Church of Petit Jean Mountain. Survivors include her husband, Matthew M. Rager, Jr. of Petit Jean; mother, Annette Martin of Hattieville; sons, Travis Allen Payne of Petit Jean, Cassedy Martin Payne of Conway, and Matthew Keith Rager of Petit Jean; daughters, Kathy Elaine Criswell and husband Greg of Oppelo; Pamela Marie East and husband Tommy of Atkins; Kimberly Diane Rager, and Jennifer Lee Rager both of Newport; Mariah Rager of Petit Jean; one brother; one sister; and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, CarrieLee Payne, father, William Lewis Martin, and a son, Charles Wesley Payne. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 2, at Hattieville Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Bill Scroggins and Bro. Kenneth Strickland officiating. Burial will be at Old Hickory Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 1, at the funeral home.
