When Joseph George Tilmon Goodall was born on March 13, 1854, in Yellville, Arkansas, his father, James, was 29 and his mother, Charlotte, was 20. He married Narcissa Alice Letha E. Raley on February 21, 1884. They had nine children in 21 years. He died on June 24, 1951, in Old Hickory, Arkansas, at the age of 97.

George Tilmon Goodall, aged 97, retired farmer of the Hattieville community, died at a local hospital Sunday morning. He was born at Yellville, March 13, 1854, but lived in Conway county for 75 years. He was a son of the late Matt and Lottie Burns Goodall, pioneer citizens of the Yellville community.
He came to Lewisburg in 1876, and 15 years later moved to Hattieville where he lived for 60 years. He guarded prisoners for Zeb Ward; west of Morrilton for 10 years, when Mr. Ward leased state convicts to work on his far.
His is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Fannie Hunter of Bakersfield, Calif., Mrs. Buelah Mathis of Appleton, Mrs. Ida Patz of Grand Prairie, Texas, Mrs Ted Chance of Seminole, Okla., and Mrs. Minnie Reynolds of Morrilton; two sons, Robert Goodall of Witchita Falls, Texas and Lonnie Goodall, whose address unknown; two brothers, J. M. Goodall of Hattieville and Bill Goodall of Yellville; and two sisters, Mrs. Bitha Ingram of Morrilton and Mrs. Caroline Wiggins of Oklahoma. Also surviving are 24 grandchildren and 23 great-grand-children.
Funeral services with arrangements in charge of the Reid Funeral Home were held Tuesday afternoon at the Old Hickory Baptist church by Elder George Rowell. Interment was in Old Hickory Cemetery.
