July 16, 1923 - March 31, 1968
Ralph Leslie Herren, 44, of 603 N. Yocom St. died Sunday in a local hospital. Born July 16, 1923, in Paragould, he was the son of I. L. and Laverta Daniels Herren. He was a sales clerk for Ritchie Grocery Co. and a resident of El Dorado for the past four years. He was also a veteran of World War I., a member of the Roy F. Kinard Post No. 10 of the American Legion and a member of the Hillsboro Street Church of Christ. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lillian Herren; his parents, two sons, Sgt. Donald Dendy, serving with the armed forces in Korea, and David W. Dendy of Monroe, La.; two daughters, Miss Donna Herren and Mrs. Joan Goings, both of Waco, Tex.; a sister, Mrs. Mary Lou Welch of Junction City; and three grandsons. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Young's. (El Dorado Times - APril 1, 1968)
