Mrs. Francis Owens, 89, of Walnut Ridge, died Thursday at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. A homemaker, she was born in Desha County and had lived in Missouri before moving to Alicia and then Walnut Ridge 15 years ago. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband, Earl Owens of the home; one daughter, Kathryn Carr of Walnut Ridge; one son, Dub Owens of Bono; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three infant children, four sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 at House-Gregg Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge, with Don R. House and Gene Shocklee officiating. Burial will follow in Strangers Home Cemetery near Alicia.

Pallbearers will be Terry Ditto, Larry Dunham, Bob Anderson, Rob Defries, Kenny Looney and Danny West.

Visitation will be held from 5:30 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.

For lasting memorials the family asks that consideration be given to the Free Street Church of Christ of Walnut Ridge.
