December 4, 1905 - October 26, 1965
Willie Reeves Weatherford, 59, of Memphis, Tenn., died unexpectedly in a Memphis Hospital Tuesday. He was a former resident of El Dorado, and a Baptist. He was born Dec. 4, 1905, in Hickory, Miss. and was the son of C. G. and Mollie Reeves Armstrong Weatherford. He was employed as a butcher, and had lived in Memphis for the past five years. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Mollie R. Weatherford of El Dorado, one son, S-sgt William R. Weatherford, Jr., of Camp LeJeune, N.C.; three brothers, A. G. Weatherford, Hugh O. Weatherford and W. G. Weatherford, all of El Dorado, and two sisters, Mrs. Zack Brooks and Mrs. W. E. Wolfe, both of El Dorado. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Young's Chapel, with Rev. Tom Bray officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jacke Beene, Doyne Gaddy, Proctor Taylor, Feater Taylor, Frank Prothro and Harvey Scogins.
