Lorene Smith Harper, 89, of The Woodlands, Texas, formerly of Hope, Arkansas passed away Friday, August 17, 2018 in The Woodlands, Texas. She was born September 27, 1928 in Blevins, Arkansas to Henry Cecil Smith and Mary Magdaline Howell Smith.
Mrs. Harper was a homemaker, retired bookkeeper, avid painter and artist.
Lorene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Harper Sr.; two sisters, Opal Jeanette Calhoon and Virginia Marcell White.
Those left to cherish her memory are one son, Dr. John Harper and wife Rebekah of The Woodlands, Texas; one grandson, Capt. Michael Harper and wife Kaitlin; one step-granddaughter Kaylynne Harper; three great-grandchildren, Ellie Harper, Savannah Harper and Ian Harper.
Visitation will be held 12:00pm to 1:30pm Thursday, August 23, 2018 at HERNDON-FUQUA FUNERAL HOME in Hope.
Graveside services to follow at 2:00pm in Rosehill Cemetery with Rev. Steve Johnson officiating under the direction of HERNDON-FUQUA FUNERAL HOME of Hope.
