Marguerite Lou (Peggy) Rainey, 84, of Morrilton, died October 17, 2010. Born June 18, 1926, in Wichita, Kansas, she was the daughter of the late C.E. and Ramona Johnson. She was the widow of Albert Wayne Rainey and was also preceded in death by her brother Larry Johnson, her sister Jean Kennard, sons Rick and Randy Rainey. She was at one time an elevator operator at the Shirkmere Hotel in downtown Wichita, Kansas, a telephone operator in Greenbrier, homemaker, caregiver to her disabled husband, devoted grandmother, and loving great-grandmother. Mrs. Rainey attended Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, Ronnie, and wife Patty of Morrilton; five grandchildren, Yolanda Barden (Dewayne) of Greenbrier, Jill Humphreys (Greg) of El Dorado, Dr. Patrick Rainey (Casey) of Raleigh, North Carolina, Janet Carner (Brad) and Jennifer Berry (Jeff) both of Plumerville; and eight great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Building Fund. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at Center Ridge Cemetery. Arrangements are by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton
