Maude Mae Mitchell, 89, Kansas City, died Wednesday at Country View Nursing Home, Prescott, Kan.

Born Nov. 2, 1886, at Fayetteville, Ark., she was the daughter of Cort and Fannie Jones. She was preceded in death in 1930 by her husband, James Thomas Mitchell.

Mrs. Mitchell was a member of Armour Heights Baptist Church, Kansas City.

Survivors include a son, Otto Mitchell, Pleasanton; three daughters, Mrs. Ima Jennings, Cucamonga, Calif., Mrs. Velma Plant, Kansas City, and Miss Grace Mitchell of the home in Kansas City; two brothers, Ezra Jones and Walter Jones, both of Ventura, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Bragg and Mrs. Zella Morris, both of Fayetteville; eight grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be 9:30 a.m. Friday at Torneden Chapel, Pleasanton, with the Rev. James York officiating.

Music will be provided by Mrs. Mary Grosshart, soloist, accompanied by Mrs. Bea Farley, organist.

Pallbearers will be Richard Mitchell, Gene Mitchell, Timmy Mitchell, John Douglas, Richard McBride and Mike McBride.

Graveside services and interment will be 2:30 p.m. Friday at Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery, Fayetteville.

The family will receive friends 7 to 8:30 p.m. this evening at Torneden Chapel.
