Margaret "Marge" Louise Wolfe Nixon, 77, was born on October 1, 1938, in Mountain View, Missouri, to Archie Jewell Wolfe and Lettie Bennie Griffith Wolfe. She was preceded in death by her parents, her younger sister, Roberta Lee Wolfe Collins, and her husband of 57 years, Larry Gene Nixon. Margaret was a member of the Downtown Church of Christ in Morrilton. She is survived by two sons, Jeffrey of Morrilton and Randall (Shiela) of Chilgok, South Korea; one daughter, Linda (Don) Fulkerson of Morrilton; eight grandchildren, Amy (Robb) Williams of Cabot, Sarah Wilson of Conway, Dr. Elena Lopez of Piggott, Valentin Lopez III of Fayetteville, Sara (Jonathan) Gray of Copperas Cove, Texas, Dane Bryant of Abilene, Texas, Erin Nixon of Conway, and Sofia Sorio Nixon of Chilgok, South Korea; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; the extended family of Southern Christian Home; and many friends. Margaret and her husband served as houseparents and relief houseparents at Southern Christian Home for over 18 years. During that time, they helped raise over 200 children, many of whom have said she is the only mother they really knew. Following her time at SCH, she worked at Wal-Mart, mostly in the fabric and craft department. She loved helping people select materials needed to create craft and sewing projects. Margaret was also a preacher's wife, as her husband was a minister for over 50 years, serving several congregations in Arkansas, including the Perryville Church of Christ. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, Aug. 22, 2016, at the Downtown Church of Christ with a private burial at a later date. The family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 pm Sunday, Aug. 21, at Harris Funeral Home.

MORRILTON — Larry Gene Nixon, 80, of Morrilton, husband of Margaret Nixon, died Sunday, November 8, 2015. Funeral services: 11 a.m. Friday, November 13, at Morrilton Downtown Church of Christ.
