“Riggs Yarbrough, 91, of Huntsville, passed away at the Madison County Hospital August 24 at 2:30 P.M.
He was born June 29, 1872 at Verona, Tenn., the son of John and Evira Yarbrough. He was a farmer and resident of Madison County the greater part of his life, and had served as State Representative from this county. He had been a minister of the gospel since 1910.
Survivors include a brother, Lish Yarbrough, of Phoenix, Ariz., a daughter, Bonnie Wright, of Castleford, Idaho, two sons, Lee Yarbrough, of Buhl, Idaho and Doyle Yarbrough, of the home; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held today (Thursday), August 29 at 2 o’clock at the Lower Alabam Church with Rev. Den Montgomery and Rev. Burr Wiggins conducting. Burial was in the Alabam Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Floyd Sisk, Edward Markley, Floyd Warren, Dallas Walker, Jess Smith and Bill Oxford.”
