Sybil Molene Cook, 80, of Ward went to be with her Heavenly Father on March 30, 2004. She was born June 29, 1923 in Romance, Arkansa to Joseph Dewey and Geneva (Gill) Chamblee. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Leland Chamblee, and sisters, James Marshall and Daphene Brewer. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Virgle J. Cook; children, Sue Ellerbee (John), Sharon Carmical (Gilbert), Dwight Cook (Merlene,), Gail Cook, and Larry COok (Kim). She is also survived by sisters, Emma Madding, Laura Eubanks; brothers, Joe Chamblee, Dewey Chamblee, and Wondle Chamblee; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Molene served as Ward City Clerk for 17 years. A faithful lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Ward, she served as Director of Children's Sunday School, and was involved in a homebound ministry. She was a beloved wife, caring mtoher, and grandmother who was a faithful Christian example to her family. Her family will miss her greatly, but realize that she is home with her Lord. We will always remember her Godly example of love and unselfishness.
Visitation will be 6-8 PM, Thursday, April 1 at Cabot Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10 AM, Friday, April 2 at Ward Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Ward, Arkansas Alzheimer's Association, or Arkansas Hospice. Arrangements by Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
