Doyle Nichols, 62, of Banks, a retired Rock Island fireman, died in an El Dorado hospital Sunday night after a protracted illness. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Leonard Nichols; a daughter, Mrs. Jacqueline Reddin of Alexandria, La.; two sons, Doyle Kenneth Nichols and Henry Clay Nichols, both of Crossett; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a brother, Frank Nichols of Banks; and three sisters, Mrs. Della Thomason of Tinsman, Mrs. Mary Bratton of Banks and Mrs. H. C. Oliver of El Dorado. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Banks Cemetery under the direction of Frazier Funeral Home of Warren. (The El Dorado Times - April 21, 1964)
