Funeral services for Mrs. Viola Jones, aged 81, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. L. Walker Friday night, were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Fairview Methodist Church by Rev. M. W. Miller, pastor. Burial was in McFarland cemetery, near Banks by Forbis Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Andrew Hyman, Leslie Hyman, Sam Kyser, Louis Kyser, Howard Franklin, Harold Hyman and Dr. J. P. Thompson. Honorary pallbearers were Homer Anderson, Jethro Cross, Alma Fogle, Norlas Smith, Ernest Merritt, Guy Jenkins, Garland Merritt and Dr. Paul Ducommon. (Camden News - December 17, 1956)
