A funeral service for Berniece Chapman of Mt. Home will be 2PM Tuesday (Nov 27, 2001)at Roller Funeral Home with the Rev L.J. Marler officiating. Mrs. Chapman passed away Friday (Nov 23, 2001)at Baxter Regional Medical Center. She was 76.
She was born March 25, 1925, at McPherson, Arkansas, to Willis and Rena (Franks) White. She married John Chapman March 28, 1942, at Culp, Arkansas. She was a homemaker. She was a lifetime resident of Baxter County. Mrs. Chapman was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed her children and grandchildren, sewing, cooking, gardening and her flowers.
She is survived by her husband, John of the home; son, Glenn Chapman and wife Aileen of Arkana; daughters, Roberta Farris and husband Jerry of Clarkridge, Vivian McCutchen and husband Delbert of Flippin; 10 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Norma Chapman of Mt. Home; son-in-law Elmer Rosson of Norfork; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter in infancy, daughter Linda Rosson, son Jerry Chapman, seven brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be 1-9PM today (Nov 26, 2001) at Roller Funeral Home with family receiving friends between 6-8PM.
Burial will be in Burnt Schoolhouse Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association.
Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home.
