Danny Mourot, age 76, of Hattieville, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2016. He was born December 23, 1939, in Morrilton, Arkansas, a son of Gus Mourot and Josephine Bostian Mourot. He was an electrician, member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and an Air Force Veteran. Survivors include his wife, Nicki Jean Beeson Mourot of Hattieville; daughters, Lee (Michael) Koone and Kathleen Oliver both of Morrilton; sister, Bea Thompson of Morrilton; brother, Ronny Mourot of Morrilton; mother-in-law, Bernie Beeson of Hattieville; grandchildren, Heather (Brandon) Zinser, Emily Roberson, Katie Roberson, Daniel Oliver, and Rylee Oliver; one great-grandson, Mason Zinser. Mo was married to and pampered by Nicki Jean for 37 years. You could always find him at Beeson's Grocery-going up every day for breakfast and fellowship with customers. Charitable and kind hearted with a quick witted, sarcastic humor, Mo was one of a kind. Discussing politics, going to "Tunica West' and loving on his puppy dogs were his favorite pastimes but he most of all enjoyed being with his family-particularly when we had dinner and he could eat some of Leela's blackberry cobbler or Shirley's coconut pie. Mo, we will miss you terribly but our memories of your "sassy", ornery self will forever put a smile on our face and laughter in our hearts. Mo's "Little Angels" will love you forever. Mo adored animals and his children and grandchildren all attended Sacred Heart School. Therefore, in his honor, we request that in lieu of flowers please make a donation to Conway County Animal Shelter or Sacred Heart School Endowment Fund. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2016, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Jack Harris celebrating. Private burial will be at a later date. Arrangements are by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
