Luther Jerry Wallis the husband of Nancy Carol (Woodson) Wallis. Luther Jerry Wallis the son of Luther T. Wallis and Betty (Guntharp) Wallis.
Jerry Wallis
Jerry Wallis, 74, of Pocahontas, formerly of Black Rock, died June 30, 2018, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.
Born Sept. 21, 1943, at Portia, he was a self-employed business owner for many years. He owned Fun Bunks Manufacturing in Black Rock, and was a subcontractor for AT&T. He was of the Baptist belief.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Woodson Wallis, whom he married March 16, 1965, in Portia; and his parents, Luther T. and Betty Guntharp Wallis.
Survivors include a son, Scott Wallis (Terrye), Jonesboro; a daughter, Deana Wallis, Morrilton; four brothers, Donald Wallis (Gail Dodd) and Tandie Wallis, all of Pocahontas, Gus Wallis (Betty Ann), Deer Park, Texas, and Tim Wallis (Linda), Springdale; three sisters, Glenda Laird (Don), Troy, Mo., Janice Thielemier (Frank), Jefferson City, Mo., and Ada Stallings (Tommy), Imboden; three grandchildren, Christopher Robinson, Landon Wallis and Blythe Wallis; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral is Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Cox Funeral Home with Harold Russell officiating. Burial will be in Oak Forest Cemetery at Black Rock.
Pallbearers will be Brad Thielemier, Todd Wallis, Landon Wallis, T.J. Wallis, Christopher Robinson, Brett Sullivan and Schad Stallings. Honorary pallbearers will be G. David Guntharp, Jackie Guntharp and Garland Guntharp.
