Roman Eric Swearingin, 48, of Mulberry died Friday, Dec. 12, 2014, in Mulberry.

He was the general manager of I-40 Travel Center in Ozark. He was previously employed in the banking industry for 25 years. He was a member of the West Park Baptist Church in Ozark, a member of the Ozark Chamber of Commerce and served on the Ozark Fair Board and Ozark A&P Commission.

He was born Aug. 9, 1966, in Fort Smith to Ronald and Patricia Kelly Swearingin.

He was preceded in death by both fathers, Ronald Roe and David Swearingin.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Cheryl Swearingin of Dyer; his mother, Patricia Swearingin of Mulberry; stepmother, Pamela Roe; two daughters, Erica Swearingin of Mulberry and Emilee Swearingin of the home; his brother, Rodney Roe; three sisters, Quinn Workman and Merle Ann Morse, both of Mulberry and Rachel Smith of Oklahoma; nieces, Brittany Davis, Katie Workman Burger, Lauren Morse and Kinsley Smith; nephews, Brandon Davis, Adam and Taylor Workman and Hunter Smith; and one grandchild, Lyn Lee Head.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mulberry First Baptist Church with the Rev. Gib Allen officiating and burial at New Cemetery in Mulberry under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home in Ozark.
