G.D. Stedman, age 93, of Magnolia, AR. died Friday September 20, at home. Born December 14, 1919 in Bradley County, AR. a son of the late Norman E. Stedman and Gennie Rogers Stedman he was a retired truck driver for Potlatch Corporation, a World War II Army veteran and member Trinity Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Rebecca “Reba” Harcrow Stedman on September 24, 2011. Also, preceding him in death were brothers Lathan Stedman, Kenneth Stedman and a sister Pat Ashcraft. Survivors are 1 son David Stedman and spouse Regina, Magnolia, AR. 2 brothers Ben Gene Smith, Crossett, AR., Barnard Smith, Warren, AR. 1 sister Marilyn Ashcraft, Warren, AR. 2 grandchildren John Stedman and spouse Florencia, Yoakum, Tx. and Carol Stacy, Texarkana, AR. 7 great-grandchildren. Graveside services were 4:00 p.m. Sunday September 22, McFarland Cemetery at Banks, AR. with Rev. Wayman Mann officiating. Arrangements were by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were John George, DuWayne George, Grady Laster, Fernando Espitia, Mike Ashcraft and Jerry Ashcraft.
