Robert L. Doss, 75 of Lake Charles, Louisiana, died Monday, August 15, 2005 in Lake Charles. He was born September 26, 1929 in Ozark.

He was a veteran of the Korean War serving there from January 1951 to October 1952, during which he received the Korean Service Medal with Bronze Service Star. He was a retired electronics engineer with the Federal Aviation Administration and was a commercial shrimper and crabber in Big Lake.

He was survived by his wife, Shirley; two daughters, Beverly and Tammy Tyler of Lake Charles, La; a sister, Carol Cordell of Ozark; a brother, Harold Doss of Ozark; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with burial at Mountain View Cemetery."

Shirley Doss, 84, of Lake Charles, Louisiana, died Friday, June 15, 2018 in a local care facility.

She was born February 10, 1934, in Ozark, Arkansas to Ed and Lula (Nixon) Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Doss; a daughter, Beverly Tyler; and three brothers, Gary and Roger Davis and Bill Nixon.

She is survived by her daughter, Tammie Tyler, of Lake Charles; seven grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren; three brothers, Larry and Jim Davis of Desoto, Kansas and Richard Davis of Altus, Arkansas; two sisters, Colene Watley of Conroe, Texas and Norma Davis of Desoto; and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at Mt. View Cemetery in Ozark with Reverend John Bennett officiating under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark. The family will visit with friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Monday, June 18, 2018, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel, 2315 West Commercial Street in Ozark.
