Kathryn Reynolds McMurry Reaves, age 99, of Warren, AR, was born May 13, 1918, in Rye, Arkansas and passed from this life December 18, 2017. She was the daughter of Cleveland and Allie Woolridge Reynolds. She was employed as Bradley County Deputy Treasurer for sixteen years. She was a faithful member and attendee of Calvary Baptist Church in Warren from its inception until her death. She was a loving wife and mother, a talented seamstress, good cook, and a very organized person. She is survived by her three children: Cherie McMurry Ross of Hot Springs Village, Kaylon McMurry Woods of Rogers, and Johnny McMurry of Monticello; a half-sister Charlsie Reynolds Nichols of Monticello; a step-daughter JoAnne Reaves Myres and a step-son Larry Reaves, both of Warren; seven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Louis E. McMurry and R. Lovett Reaves; three brothers Van Reynolds, B.C. Reynolds, and Hugh Don Reynolds; a sister Arnette Reynolds St. John Martin; a half-brother Emmit Reynolds; a step-brother Perry Word; and a step-sister, Velma Word Kulbeth. Funeral service was 1:30 p.m. Thursday, December 21, at Frazer’s Chapel with Rev. Johnny Ross officiating. Linda Barrett was organist and Cherie Ross was soloist. Interment is in McFarland Cemetery, Banks, Arkansas, by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Johnny McMurry, John Paul McMurry, Heath Bryant, Gregory Bryant, Larry Reaves, Steve Atkinson, Ed Lain, and Larry Kimbrell. Memorials to Calvary Baptist Church, 605 Sturgis Street, Warren, AR 71671.
