When Matthew Joseph 'Sonny Boy' Lannie was born on February 28, 1939, his father, Joseph, was 30 and his mother, Mary, was 26. He married Wanda Sue Hays on December 14, 1962. They had one child during their marriage. He died on September 13, 2003, in Little Rock, Arkansas, at the age of 64, and was buried in Center Ridge, Arkansas.
