Estelle Wagnon McFarland, age 85, of Banks, Arkansas died Monday, February 20, at Valley Oaks Nursing Home, She was born February 26, 1920 at Blue Springs, Arkansas a daughter of the late Hugh Wagnon and Lula Watson Wagnon. She was a US Army Veteran of World War II, a Methodist and a homemaker. Surviving is her husband A. J. McFarland whom she married on October 11, 1947; a son Dr Gale McFarland, MD and spouse Wendy, Camden, Ark; 3 sisters Beadie Ross and Mildred Steelman both of Banks, Ark. and Maudell Smith, Camden, Ark; 5 grandchildren Steven McFarland, Justin McFarland, Wesley McFarland, Travis McFarland and Jack McFarland all of Camden, Ark. 6 brothers Joseph Wagnon, Glyn Wagnon, Burnett Wagnon, Odell Wagnon, Thelbert Wagnon and Hugh Wagnon also preceded her in death. Funeral services were 1:30pm Friday, February 24, at Frazer’s Chapel with Rev. Ruskin Falls officiating. Burial with military honors was in McFarland Cemetery at Banks by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Bill Wagnon, Danny McDiarmid, Larry Wagnon, David Wagnon, Don Smith, Bill Wagnon and Nick Wagnon.
